About this policy

This policy explains the current privacy practices of BuzCalculator, the calculator service at buzcalculator.com. For questions about this policy or your information, contact contact@buzcalculator.com.

Information you enter into calculators

Our calculators use the values you enter to generate results in your browser. The application does not send those values to BuzCalculator servers to perform calculations, and does not intentionally save them in localStorage, sessionStorage or application cookies. Ordinary input edits do not update the page URL.

Sharing is an exception. The Tire Size and Gas Mileage Cost calculators can create links containing selected inputs when you choose Copy link or Share. Tire links contain the two tire sizes; gas-mileage links contain the main trip inputs, including distance, fuel efficiency, fuel price, trip frequency and currency. Anyone with a link can read those values. Opening it sends the URL, including those values, to our hosting infrastructure, and it may appear in browser history, request records or the service used to share it.

Where available, Copy, Share and Print let you export results through your clipboard, your chosen sharing destination or your browser’s printing tools. Car Depreciation shares result text rather than an input link. These actions happen when you select them; the resulting copies are outside the calculator’s tab memory. Avoid sharing values you want to keep private.

Information processed when you visit

Your browser makes requests to load pages and supporting files. Hosting and security infrastructure may process your IP address, request time, requested URL and query string, HTTP method and headers, browser or user-agent information, connection and network details, response status and security-related request information.

This information helps deliver the site, diagnose failures and prevent abuse. It is separate from running a calculation in your browser. Do not put sensitive information into a URL or send it in an email unless it is needed for your request.

Cloudflare infrastructure

BuzCalculator uses Cloudflare for hosting and delivery, DNS and proxying, HTTPS/TLS, caching, performance and protection against abuse. Cloudflare processes technical request information to provide these services.

Our responses include Cloudflare network-error reporting instructions, known as NEL and Report-To headers. Supporting browsers may send connection-failure reports to Cloudflare. This infrastructure reporting is separate from BuzCalculator behavioral advertising or application analytics.

Cookies and browser storage

The BuzCalculator application currently sets no application cookies and does not save calculator inputs in localStorage or sessionStorage. Your browser may cache website files as part of normal browsing; that is different from our application saving your calculator values.

Cloudflare security or traffic-management features may use provider cookies depending on the features and circumstances involved. We do not promise that every visit is free of infrastructure cookies. Cloudflare describes its service cookies here (opens in a new tab).

When you save privacy preferences, we store the categories you chose, a policy version and a save time in first-party localStorage under buzcalculator.privacy-preferences. It contains no calculator values or visitor identifier and is not sent to our server. It remains until you clear site data or replace the choice; it has no automatic expiry. This necessary preference storage is separate from optional tracking. See our Cookie Policy for details.

Analytics

BuzCalculator currently uses no application analytics, including Google Analytics, and no marketing tracking pixels. Cloudflare’s operational and security processing described above still takes place.

Advertising

BuzCalculator currently displays no third-party advertising. Google AdSense is not installed, and we do not currently serve personalized ads.

We may introduce advertising services, such as Google advertising products, in the future. Before doing so, we will update this policy to describe the actual providers, data collection, sharing and uses, and introduce consent controls where required. Advertising providers may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses or other identifiers, depending on the services enabled and your choices.

Future Google publisher services

This section describes a possible future change, not Google advertising processing currently taking place on BuzCalculator. If we introduce Google publisher services, the updated policy will explain Google’s and other participating providers’ data uses, any advertising cookies or personalization, and the available privacy choices. We will link to the relevant provider information at that time.

Consent management

A first-visit privacy notice lets you Accept all, Reject all or Manage preferences. Optional analytics, advertising and personalization are currently inactive; accepting does not install them. Reopen Cookie Preferences in the footer to save or withdraw category choices. Necessary operation and preference storage cannot be disabled there. Material new purposes or vendor uses require updated disclosures and a consent-version review before activation; existing generic preferences are not permission for materially different processing. If storage is blocked, your choice applies in the current tab but may not survive a reload.

Information you send by email

If you email contact@buzcalculator.com, you voluntarily provide your email address and whatever information you include in your message or attachments. We may use that information to respond, investigate a reported problem, address a privacy request or protect the service where appropriate.

Email delivery and mailbox providers also process your correspondence. Send only the information needed to explain your request; you do not need to send personal financial details to use our calculators.

Links to other websites

Our calculators and articles link to third-party sources. If you follow a link, the destination receives a web request and handles your information under its own privacy practices. Review that website’s policy before providing information there.

Data retention

We do not maintain saved calculator submissions: ordinary calculator state is held in tab memory, rather than intentionally persisted by BuzCalculator. Your browser may restore a page or form, and copies, shared links, printed results and messages you create can outlast the tab.

Correspondence may be kept for as long as needed to handle an inquiry, follow up on an issue, protect the service or meet applicable obligations. Retention depends on the purpose and circumstances; we do not specify a fixed period for every message.

Infrastructure and security records are handled under the relevant providers’ service settings, policies and obligations. BuzCalculator does not control every provider retention period. Contact us with questions about information associated with your visit or correspondence.

Security

We use HTTPS to protect website traffic in transit, browser security headers and Cloudflare infrastructure to help protect the service. These measures reduce risks but cannot guarantee absolute security. Use care when sending sensitive information or sharing results.

Children’s privacy

BuzCalculator is a general-purpose calculator service and is not intentionally designed to collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information that should be removed, contact us so we can review the situation and take appropriate action.

International users and privacy requests

Our infrastructure and email providers may process information in countries other than your own. Privacy rights and the rules that apply to a request differ by jurisdiction.

Depending on the law that applies, you may have rights concerning access, correction, deletion, restriction or objection to certain processing, or a complaint to a relevant authority. Contact contact@buzcalculator.com to ask about your information or make a request. We will consider the applicable requirements and may need information to verify and locate the records concerned.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when site functionality, service providers, analytics or advertising practices, or legal and policy requirements change. We will revise the Last updated date and provide any additional notice or consent controls required for the change.
